Clear Chronic Skin Conditions with Advanced Excimer Lasers
Pharos is a powerful, painless, monochromatic 308-nm UVB excimer laser for the targeted treatment of T-cell mediated, inflammatory, hypo-pigmented, UVB-responsive, autoimmune diseases in localized areas. Its mechanisms of action are T-cell apoptosis, destruction of inflammatory cytokines, and stimulations of melanocytes for re-pigmentation.
Pharos is indicated for psoriasis, vitiligo, atopic dermatitis, and leukoderma. All other indications are investigational.
Laser
- Painless – Non-thermal and non-ablative treatment mean “ouchless” sessions, even for the smallest patients
-
Fast – Treatment sessions take only minutes and most patients see improvement in 10 or fewer sessions, averaging
- 12-16 sessions for significant clearance
- No Restrictions – Suitable for all ages and skin types
Psoriasis
Psoriasis treatments have come a long way. And the Pharos excimer laser is the market leader in targeted, customizable, painless laser therapy that can clear localized and recalcitrant plaques even in hard-to-treat areas.
Vitiligo
Vitiligo is a chronic and challenging disease in which many patients have been told that “nothing can be done.” The good news is that, for many patients, this is no longer true.
The Pharos excimer laser delivers 2-pronged laser therapy which produces greater and more profound repigmentation for vitiligo than any other therapy available.
1st – Using monochromatic 308-nm UVB laser light, the Pharos induces T-cell apoptosis, the targeted destruction of the white blood cells that are destroying the patient’s melanocytes (pigment cells) and causing the patches of depigmentation. This stops the progression of the disease in the affected area so that no more melanocytes are destroyed.
2nd – Simultaneously, the same 308-nm UVB laser light stimulates whatever melanocytes are left in the depigmented area to hyper-produce more melanosomes that contain melanin (pigment) to repigment the skin back to its natural color.
Atopic Dermatitis
Delivering targeted smart laser therapy for atopic dermatitis patients, especially the littlest ones, drives us to deliver the safest and most efficacious therapy possible.
Leukoderma
Leukoderma including white scars and stretch marks, present one of the greatest challenges in cosmetic dermatology as it is treatment-resistant and has limited treatment options.
The Pharos delivers pinpoint accurate, targeted laser repigmentation without hyperpigmenting the surrounding healthy skin. Its collimated laser beam delivers therapeutic 308-nm energy to the melanocytes (pigment cells) in the basal layer to stimulate repigmentation even in tissue damaged by the cause of the hypopigmentation.
- One-of-a-kind integrated adjustable iris contours the laser beam to match the size and shape of the lesion treated, including on linear scars
- Exact target treatment of only the depigmented areas prevents the surrounding skin from hyperpigmenting
- Each individual lesion is easily treated with the maximum efficacious dose at each treatment session for rapid, maximum repigmentation
